FAQ

Questions sellers ask, answered

Short, direct answers. If yours is not here, we will gladly answer it.

Getting started

What is ProfitIQ?

ProfitIQ is e-commerce profit software. It connects your online stores, ad accounts and couriers and calculates the true net profit of every order, after the cost of goods, courier charges, fees, returns and ad spend, so you can see what you actually earn rather than what you sold.

Who is ProfitIQ for?

Online sellers who sell through Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay or their own storefront and want to know profit, not just sales. It suits single-store brands, multichannel sellers, and sellers who take cash on delivery and need to track couriers and returns.

How do I get started?

Sign up for the free plan, connect a store from Settings, and add your product costs by typing them, importing a CSV or receiving purchase orders. ProfitIQ then calculates profit for the orders it syncs. Connecting ad accounts and couriers is optional and adds ad spend and courier charges to the picture.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The Free plan has no card and no time limit. It covers 50 orders a month and 50 products; you move to a paid plan only when you outgrow it.

Profit and calculations

How does ProfitIQ calculate profit?

For each order, net profit is revenue minus cost of goods, courier charge, marketplace fee, payment processor fee, discount given and amount refunded, plus the cost of goods returned to stock. For a period, ad spend and operating expenses are then subtracted. The database calculates it every time an order is written, so no two screens can disagree. See the full rules.

When does an order count as revenue?

When the money is yours. A prepaid order counts once it is confirmed or shipped; a cash-on-delivery order counts once it is delivered, because until the courier collects the cash there is none. Orders not yet earned are shown as revenue awaiting delivery or payment, not hidden.

What does “Profit before costs” mean?

It means some products have no cost on file. ProfitIQ does not treat a missing cost as free and show a margin that is not real: it labels the figure “Profit before costs” and shows no margin until a cost exists.

Is tax included in revenue?

No. Sales tax, VAT and GST are excluded from revenue and recorded separately on each order, because they are collected for the tax authority and are not part of your profit.

How are returns and refunds treated?

A returned order’s revenue does not count, but the courier charge for the parcel stays a cost. If the goods go back into stock the order is credited their cost; if they are lost or damaged it is not. A partial refund reduces profit by the amount refunded.

How does ProfitIQ handle different currencies?

You choose the currency you report in, from 45 options. Orders and ad spend in other currencies are converted at the rate for their own date. An amount still waiting for a rate is labelled as such and never added to totals as if it were converted.

Integrations

Which stores, marketplaces and ad platforms does ProfitIQ connect to?

Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads connect directly. Your own app or storefront can send orders through an API key. Daraz orders can be imported by CSV today, and TikTok Shop is coming. See all integrations.

Does ProfitIQ change my store or my ads?

No. Store and ad connections are read-only for reporting. ProfitIQ reads orders, products and ad spend; it does not edit listings, prices or campaigns.

Can I connect more than one store?

Yes. A business can connect several stores and marketplaces, and all of their orders land in one ledger so channels can be compared.

Can I send orders from my own app?

Yes. Create an API key in Settings and your own storefront, point-of-sale or order system can send orders to ProfitIQ, where they are costed like any other channel.

Markets and cash on delivery

Does ProfitIQ work outside Pakistan?

Yes. It reports in 45 currencies, recognises carriers in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Canada, and connects to Amazon in 19 marketplaces. ProfitIQ is built in Karachi and includes extra tools for cash-on-delivery sellers. See ProfitIQ for sellers worldwide.

What is COD reconciliation?

It is the check that the cash a courier collected on delivery was paid back to you in full. ProfitIQ matches each settlement row to its order by tracking number and flags short payments. See COD and courier reconciliation.

Which couriers are supported?

Leopards and TCS are tracked through their APIs. 19 carriers are recognised and costed, including Trax, PostEx, BlueEX, M&P, DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS, Royal Mail, DPD, Australia Post and Canada Post, and any courier’s settlement sheet can be imported as a CSV.

Pricing and billing

How much does ProfitIQ cost?

ProfitIQ has four plans: Free ($0, 50 orders a month), Growth ($19 a month, 1,000 orders a month), Pro ($49 a month, 5,000 orders a month), Pro Plus ($89 a month, unlimited orders). The plans differ in order, product and AI-credit limits; the profit tools, integrations and courier tools are on every plan. See pricing.

What counts as an order for my plan?

Orders dated in the current month, across all your connected channels. The count is recalculated from your orders, so re-syncing a store never counts the same order twice.

How do I pay for a paid plan?

If you installed ProfitIQ from Shopify you are billed through Shopify. Otherwise you request an upgrade and pay by Wise or PayPal, or by local bank transfer in Pakistani rupees; the plan is activated once the payment is confirmed. Questions: contact us.

Security and data

Is my data safe?

Credentials for your stores and ad accounts are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, all traffic uses HTTPS, and every business’s data is isolated from every other’s by row-level security in the database. See how ProfitIQ protects your data.

Who can see my business data?

Only the people you invite. The owner chooses a role for each teammate and switches individual sections on or off, and sensitive areas such as Settings and Team are owner-only.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. The owner can erase orders, products, marketing data, customers, suppliers or everything from Settings, immediately and permanently. See data deletion and the privacy policy.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. Your store, customer and ad data is used only to provide your analytics. It is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing.
