Every part of ProfitIQ, and the question it answers

One set of numbers behind every screen: from the profit on a single order to what your couriers owe you.

Profit engine

One formula for the profit of every order

Net profit is calculated by the database, every time an order is written. No screen and no report works it out for itself, so no two screens can disagree about an order.

Profit on one order
net profit = revenue − cost of goods + cost of goods returned to stock − courier charge − marketplace fee − payment processor fee − discount given − amount refunded

For a period, True Net Profit is profit on earned orders minus ad spend and operating expenses. Profit after ads stops before expenses, because it answers a narrower question: are the ads paying for themselves? They are deliberately different figures with different names.

The rules behind the number

When revenue counts
Prepaid orders when confirmed or shipped; cash on delivery when delivered. Orders not yet earned are shown as revenue awaiting delivery or payment, never hidden.
Tax
Sales tax, VAT and GST are excluded from revenue and recorded separately, so they are never part of profit.
Returns
A returned order’s revenue does not count; the courier charge for the trip stays a cost. Goods back in stock are credited at cost, capped at the order’s own cost; lost or damaged goods are not.
Which cost of goods wins
A received purchase order (weighted average, with freight and duty), then a cost you typed in ProfitIQ, then the cost your store reports.
A missing cost
Costed at zero it would overstate profit, so the figure is labelled “Profit before costs” and no margin is shown until a cost exists.
Currency
Every amount is reported in your currency. Foreign-currency orders and ad spend are converted at the rate for their own date; any amount awaiting a rate is labelled.
When a figure changes
Late costs, real courier charges and refunds are recorded with the old value, the new value, when, and whether a person or a sync made the change.

Dashboard and reports

The state of the business at a glance, and in a form you can hand over

The dashboard answers “how are we doing?” in a few figures; reports answer “compared with when?”

Multichannel profit and loss
  • True Net Profit, revenue, true ROAS and ad spend for any date range, with revenue and profit charted together.
  • Monthly goals and a dispatch queue showing orders waiting to ship.
  • Profit and loss statement and period-over-period comparison in the Reports and Export Center.
  • CSV and PDF export, so your accountant gets the same figures you see.

Orders and channels

Every store and marketplace in one ledger

One formula for every order means channels can be compared on equal terms for the first time.

See all integrations
  • Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon and eBay connect directly; your own app sends orders through an API key.
  • Shopify and WooCommerce orders arrive as they are placed, with a nightly sync as the safety net.
  • Daraz orders import by CSV today; TikTok Shop is coming.
  • Search, filter and update orders in bulk, add manual orders, and import orders from CSV.

Marketing

Ad spend judged against profit, not platform ROAS

Reporting-only connections to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok Ads, set beside what the orders actually earned.

Profit-based ROAS
  • Profit after ads per period and per campaign.
  • Break-even ROAS for every product, from contribution actually earned on real orders.
  • UTM attribution by campaign name or platform ID; marketplace orders shown honestly as unattributed.
  • Foreign-currency ad spend converted at each day’s rate; manual spend logging for any other channel.

Logistics

Courier costs, settlements and weight, checked parcel by parcel

For anyone who ships, and especially for cash-on-delivery sellers whose cash comes back through a courier.

COD and courier reconciliation
  • Leopards and TCS tracked through their APIs; 19 carriers recognised and costed.
  • Settlements matched to orders by tracking number, with withholding tax separated from real shortfalls.
  • Dispute reports with tracking numbers and amounts, and a weight audit including volumetric weight.
  • The courier charge in an order’s profit comes from tracking data, settlements or your own tariff.

Inventory and suppliers

Costs that follow what you paid, and stock that does not surprise you

Purchase orders, landed cost and a stock forecast turn inventory from a list into money.

Costs, stock and suppliers
  • Purchase orders with freight, duty and other charges spread across lines by value.
  • Weighted-average cost updated every time a purchase order is received.
  • Days of cover from real sales, reorder suggestions, and cash tied up in stock.
  • Supplier balances aged from the due date, not the invoice date.

Returns

What returns cost, and who sends them

Refused and returned parcels are counted as the costs they are.

Returns and RTO costs
  • Cost of returns from the courier charges actually recorded; unpriced returns reported as unpriced.
  • Restock credit when goods return to stock; partial refunds reduce profit by the amount refunded.
  • A warning when you take an order from a customer, identified by phone number, with returns on file.
  • Return reasons, and return rates by courier and by campaign.

Team and access

Give people the sections they need, and nothing else

The owner decides what each person can open and change.

How we protect your data
  • Owner, manager and staff roles.
  • Switches that turn each section on or off for each teammate, enforced on the screens and behind them.
  • Settings and Team are owner-only, and an audit log records who did what.
  • Removing a teammate cuts their access at once and keeps their name on past activity.
