The problem

Where this goes wrong without the right numbers

  • The payout never equals the sum of the orders

Courier settlements arrive as lump sums with deductions for charges, taxes and returns. Without matching parcel by parcel you cannot tell a fee from a mistake.

  • Withholding tax hides real shortfalls

A Leopards payment invoice deducts income-tax and sales-tax withholding on every parcel. Treat all of the gap as tax and you miss what was wrongly kept; treat none of it as tax and you dispute money the courier never owed.

  • Weight and return charges are taken on trust

A courier bills the weight it measured, and bills the trip back for a returned parcel. Both are real costs, and both are worth checking against the parcel itself.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Connect the store and the courier

Orders arrive from your store. Leopards and TCS are tracked through their own APIs; every other Pakistani courier is recorded against the order and costed.

  2. Bring in the settlement

Import the courier’s payout sheet as a CSV, or let ProfitIQ fetch Leopards’ payment advice directly. Both run the same matching rules.

  3. Review what does not match

Each parcel is matched, short-paid or missing. Statutory withholding is shown on its own line so the disputable amount is only what is left.

What you get

What ProfitIQ does for this

  • Parcel-by-parcel matching

Settlement rows are matched to orders by tracking number: COD amount, deductions, and the net actually transferred.

  • Withholding tax separated from shortfall

Income-tax and sales-tax withholding are tracked as two separate liabilities at the rates you set, and only the gap beyond them is called a shortfall.

  • Dispute evidence

Short-paid parcels become a dispute report with tracking numbers and amounts, ready to send to your courier account manager.

  • Weight audit

Compares the weight you were billed for with the parcel’s own weight, including volumetric weight, and totals what you paid for weight you did not ship.

  • Courier cost in every order’s profit

The charge that reaches an order’s profit comes from the courier’s own tracking data or settlement, or your negotiated tariff. It is never a guess.

  • Revenue counted when cash is real

A COD order earns revenue when it is delivered, not when it is placed, so a day of new COD orders does not look like a day of profit.

FAQ

Common questions

What is COD reconciliation?

It is the check that the cash a courier collected on delivery was paid back to you in full. Each parcel’s COD amount, the courier’s deductions and the amount transferred are compared, so shortfalls and missing payments are found parcel by parcel.

Which couriers does ProfitIQ work with?

Leopards and TCS can be tracked through their APIs. 19 carriers are recognised and costed, including Trax, PostEx, Call Courier, BlueEX, M&P, DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS, Royal Mail, DPD, Australia Post and Canada Post, and any courier’s settlement sheet can be imported as a CSV.

Does ProfitIQ understand withholding tax on COD payouts?

Yes. It tracks income-tax and sales-tax withholding separately, at rates you can change, and treats only the gap beyond them as a shortfall. That stops you disputing tax the courier is required to withhold.

Do I have to upload spreadsheets every time?

Not for Leopards, where ProfitIQ can fetch the payment advice itself. For other couriers you import their settlement CSV, and the same matching runs.

Is this only for sellers in Pakistan?

No. Cash-on-delivery sellers anywhere can use the profit engine, return costs and settlement imports. The automatic courier connections today are Leopards and TCS, and settlement sheets from any other courier can be imported as a CSV. Sellers who take only prepaid orders will mostly use the profit, ad and inventory tools instead. See ProfitIQ for sellers worldwide.
